Bern Winter Schools on Machine Learning
We are pleased to announce that the dates for the Bern Winter School on Machine Learning 2027 are now officially confirmed.
08–12 March 2027 — Bern Winter School on Deep Learning
15–19 March 2027 — Bern Winter School on Natural Language Processing
We are excited to welcome participants to Bern for another edition of intensive courses, inspiring lectures, and discussions at the forefront of machine learning research.

The Bern Winter Schools offer a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence through intensive courses, hands-on learning, and direct interaction with leading researchers and experts in the field.
Our programs are designed for students, researchers, and professionals from academia, industry, and the public sector — including members of the University of Bern and participants from around the world who are eager to expand their knowledge and engage with the latest developments in AI and machine learning.
To ensure a highly interactive and stimulating learning experience, each winter school is limited to 20 participants. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Venue
The schools take place in the wonderful historic Hotel Regina in the center of the alpine ski resort Mürren.
Mürren is situated on a mountain terrace 1638 meters above sea level in the Bernese Oberland, granting an unique view of the majestic mountain range of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau rising on the opposite side of the narrow mountain valley. Mürren is car free.
Prices
Students in general and University of Bern staff pay 660 CHF (course fee) + 900 CHF (accommodation costs)
For others the fee is 1160 CHF (course fee) + 900 CHF (accommodation costs).
Accommodation costs at Hotel Regina Mürren include private room with shared bathroom, breakfast, coffee break, lunch bag, dinner, and social program. Additional consumption at the hotel must to be paid directly upon check-out.
Participants who participate remotely only pay the fee.
