eScience Certificate Signing Request
In order to get a user or host certificate signed, please follow the instructions below.
The certificates are signed by signed by an IGTF-accredited Certificate Authority Digital Trust.
Please note that certificates will be billed to your institution. The current price is 300 CHF for a host or user certificate, per certificate with 1-year validity.
If we do not yet have billing contacts with your institution, this may delay the process until we can confirm how we can bill you.

Important notice
A one-time administrative setup is required per organization requesting certificates, and it can take some time.
Institutions that already have completed the setup and can request certificates:
- ETH Zurich / CSCS
- Paul Scherrer Institut
- University of Bern
- University of Geneva
- EPFL
Grid certificate provider has recently changed, and standard procedures are still being developed for them.
